The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert for rain for Saturday evening, but in Delhi-NCR, it started raining in the intervening night itself. The rain lasted for about two hours. This will cause a drop in temperature. By the way, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next two days. Along with this, it is feared that strong winds can blow during the day. There is a possibility of rain in the evening. According to the Regional Meteorological Center, New Delhi, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded 35 and the minimum temperature was 26.7 degrees on Friday.

Delhi received two mm of rain till 8.30 am. The highest rainfall was received in the ridge area at 9.7 mm. Whereas 9.4 mm was recorded in Palam area, 4 mm in Lodi Road, Aya Nagar, Pusa. According to the department, the mercury is expected to fall to 32 degrees due to rain. The mercury is likely to remain around 32 degrees on Sunday as well.

Slight increase in pollution level

A slight increase in the pollution level was recorded after the weather improved on Friday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the pollution level was recorded at 77 on Friday, which was 72 on Thursday. According to the board, the predominant surface wind in Delhi is likely to come from easterly directions on Saturday.

The wind speed could be 10 – 25 kmph. The sky will be cloudy in the morning. Strong winds are expected during the day. Moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in the evening.
